Pulled Pork
I have been awake before sun rise for many events in my day. Most of these events were due to swimming, triathlon, work or the ass-o’clock 6AM flight, but last weekend was a new pre-sunrise event. I decided to put the terracotta smoker to the ultimate task of a Boston Butt, aka pork shoulder. I followed Alton Brown’s pulled pork recipe and this thing came out damn finger licking good! I was happy and plan to wake up pre-dawn for a future porkpourri. Mmmmmm.
Green Lights on a Bike
Living in CA, most cities tend to be bike sensitive and install special triggers to activate green lights. However, there are still plenty of signals that have not been retrofit with the bike sensitive sensors. Generally, I end up running these lights or hitting the button for peds. (This is much harder than you would think since you generally have to get onto the sidewalk without crashing or getting hit by a car. No small feat while you are clipped into pedals.) Anyway, this product looks interesting. It is not something I would use for a long ride on the weekend, but for a commute bike, it might be worth it.
