I get that all the time. Distiller generates PDFs which don’t display well on Linux because there are TrueType fonts which are used but not included in the PDF file. Even on Windows, if you don’t happen to have the right font installed, it uses a substitute. These files can be ‘laundered’ on windows by printing to the PDFWriter printer, resulting PDF will have all fonts included.
So, why can’t Adobe make files which match their own spec ? Is there an option in Distiller to ‘Make non-portable PDFs’ ?????
